I write this for anyone who has ever been tormented by not doing enough, by not being enough, by not running hard or fast enough. I write this to every preacher and pastor who gave it 110% and yet came up short. I write this for every church member who never seems to be able to do it all just right. I write this to every minister’s wife and the children who knows the pain of being second to ministry. I write this to every burned out Christian who needs to drink deeply of the pure grace of God not the watered down and polluted streams of religion. And finally, I write this for everyone I have failed while trying to perform my way through religion and ministry. This is not a book on theology; it is the personal journey of one, who for so many years of his life and ministry ran the race on the treadmill of performance based religion.
